Aberfeldy Speyside Whisky Distillery

Dewar’s flagship distillery opened in 1898 and is the only distillery ever built by the Dewar family, exactly 100 years later the Distillery was purchased by global giant Bacardi. It is located in the Heart of Scotland where Perthshire’s longest glen, highest mountain, and deepest loch meet. The water source is the Pitilie Burn which runs close to the river Tay.
Aberfeldy was constructed when the Dewar’s international brand was expanding especially in the US where Dewars White Label blended whisky was becoming a huge success.  Its main ingredient being Aberfeldy. The opening of the Aberfeldy distillery guaranteed the required supply.
The Dewar’s White Label now produces 3.5 million litres annually mainly for the US market. The main retail Malts are the Aberfeldy 12 year old and 21 year old however other limited editions are available.

Taste: This like other whiskies in the Dewars group has signature heather and honey notes.
