It has been 76 years since a male from the UK has won a major tennis championship and Andy Murray finally overcame Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in an epic 5 sets battle lasting 5 hours at the Arthur Ashe stadium in New York. Tennis was invented in Great Britain however the success of the sport has outstripped the success of the British on the court.
